Successful Outcomes from 2007

  • Participants felt that their desired outcomes were met through the All Star Conference
    1. Build the network of leaders making the Bay Area a global Climate All Star,
    2. Discover new partners and form alliances,
    3. Learn the best ways to reduce GHG emissions from national and international pacesetters,
    4. Receive innovative tools for moving into action,
    5. Be inspired by new possibilities: Accelerate action to align and mobilize Bay Area communities for climate protection.
  • Good attendance for first year with nearly 300 people
  • Quality attendance with the right people attending; elected officials from throughout the Bay Area
  • Sponsorship program was good for securing adequate funding and buy-in
  • Partnership program was good for added funding, buy-in, and attendance
  • All Star Awards was good for attracting people who might not otherwise attend
  • Timing and flow of the day was superior
  • Speakers were top notch, good presenters with quality, timely, and inspiring messages
  • Venue was good in regards to location, size, parking, and layout
  • Food was great and was a good tie in to overall message and theme
  • Printed materials were attractive, professional, effective and efficient
  • Power point and the technology went smoothly (other than audio)
  • Providing transportation was a good idea, very popular for Sonoma County
  • Getting specific commitments from participants was good
